Training:

Learn the basic punches, correct footwork, basic patterns of movement, and the correct way to hit the heavy bag.

Boxing 101 combines basic boxing instruction with a challenging and fun group workout.

Boxing 101 is for the average person that is looking for a boxing class that will teach you basic footwork, how to properly throw a punch and to block and counter-punch.

In Boxing 101 you will also learn to use the bags the pro's use, the Speed Bag, Heavy Bag and the Double End Bag.

You will learn early that this sport is physically and psychologically demanding. Meeting the physical demands in training the aerobic and anaerobic energy systems and the mastering of ringmanship present an exciting challenge to athletes.

In "sparring" the boxer or fighter is not attempting to defeat his opponent, he is in fact working on perfecting a certain type(s) of technique(s) that is part of his overall repertoire.

Boxing 101 "sparring" sessions both of the participants are not working at all out speed or power but on refined execution and honing of skills. These sessions are not "bouts".

We would like for you to feel, smell and see just how boxing is the greatest workout in the world.

Boxing 101 "sparring" session are to show you how it feel being up in a boxing ring with another person.

Oh by the way we do not hit you unless you would like to see how it truly feels.

Training also includes learning the technical skills required of this sport. The basics include proper stance, footwork, the fundamentals of throwing punches and defensive maneuvers.

Learning these skills takes time and practice. As the basics become internalized, new and varied techniques are incorporated. This aspect of training also will assist you to develop your own unique.

We do everything from rolling ( light sparring ) to body shot drills. We will get you in fighting shape.
